Our trained peer workers co-facilitate support groups in collaboration with Community Midwifery WA (Mother Nurture groups) and Joondalup Women's Healthworks (Making SENSE of Motherhood). These groups run at the following locations:
Mother Nurture
Mother Nurture Groups run during term time in:
Gosnells on Friday mornings at the Gosnells Lotteries House, Level 1, 2232 Albany Hwy, Gosnells
Mandurah on Wednesdays at Mandurah Community Health Centre, 112 Lakes Road, Mandurah
Fremantle on Thursday mornings at CMWA, 1/40 Pearse St, North Fremantle
Mother Nurture Groups are run as a closed therapeutic group for mothers and their babies in the first months of parenthood. Each group has 2 facilitators, women with special expertise in Infant Parent relationships, including a peer support worker. Topics covered include self-nurturing activities, "tool box" of coping techniques, early parenting skills including understanding baby's communication, dealing with ambivalent emotions, challenges in partner and family of origin relationships, debriefing birth trauma, sharing stories and developing support networks.

The Making SENSE of Motherhood Program
The Making SENSE of Motherhood program is a support group adapted from the Community Midwifery WA (Mother Nurture) model for women recovering from postnatal depression and anxiety.
Time: 10.00am - 12.00pm
Place: WOMEN’S Healthworks Joondalup Lotteries House 70 Davidson Terrace (Cnr Boas Avenue) Joondalup
